Improvement of the ‘Ranaviru Resource Centre’ at Hendala which provides vocational training to the disabled war heroes

- The ‘Ranaviru Resource Centre’ situated at Hendala is in operation from the year 2010 as an institution which provides vocational training to the war heroes who had been disabled in the battle grounds, for the purpose of creating the necessary environment for them to lead a dignified life within the civil society. More than 09 vocational training courses are implemented with the infrastructure facilities provided for in the 1st phase of the institution. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to construct 05 new buildings in the 2nd phase and on completion of the necessary infrastructure facilities to increase the number of training courses up to 15 to elevate the ‘Ranaviru Resource Centre’ as a formal vocational training centre, was approved by the Cabinet.
