Establishment of a Domestic Airline Service through Public-Private Joint Venture Partnership

- It has been proposed to establish a Domestic Airline Service for civil passenger transportation through Public-Private Joint Venture Partnership in accordance with the criteria laid down by the International Civil Aviation Authority. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to call for proposals from a larger number of persons from the private sector with adequate financial stability, with a view to selecting a suitable investor to commence a joint venture with the Sri Lanka Air Force, was approved by the Cabinet.
