Procurement of Equipment required for the Combat Convoy Battalion for peacekeeping operations in Mali

- Sri Lanka expects to post a Combat Convoy Battalion for UN peacekeeping operations in Mali and as such, the proposal made by H.E. the President, Maithripala Sirisena in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to award the contract for the supply of demining and explosive ordnance disposal equipment, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
