Formulation of a long-term National Fisheries Policy and Action Plan

- The proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development, for a 03 year project with the technical assistance of the Government of Norway, with a view to formulating a long-term National Fisheries Policy and Action Plan, to implement foreign training programmes for the capacity building of the fisheries officers of Sri Lanka and to promote investment by the Government of Norway in the fisheries and aquatic sector in Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
