The establishment of a Marine Finfish/Shellfish Hatchery Farm for Research

- The proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development, to allocate a 05 acre block of land situated at Kandakuliya, Kalpitiya, to the National Aquatic Resources and Development Agency (NARA), to conduct research in the development of technology for breeding high quality and economically important aquatic organisms such as Crab, Sea cucumber, Bivalve, Finfish/Shellfish species, was approved by the Cabinet.
