Awarding of the contract for the construction of the section from Meerigama to Kurunegala of the Central Expressway Project

- The Section 2 of of the Central Expressway starts from Meerigama and runs up to Kurunegala, a length of 39.29 km. Considering the volume of work involved in the section, the contract has been divided into 04 civil work packages. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to award the contract of the 04 civil work packages, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee (CANC), was approved by the Cabinet.
