Construction of Baddegama, Wanathawilluwa, Meegahathenna and Katupotha Police Stations

- With a view to providing a more efficient service to the general public, a programme for constructing Police Stations with new facilities is being presently implemented. Under this programme, in addition to the renovation of the existing Police Stations, the proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development, for the construction of new buildings for the Baddegama, Wanathawilluwa, Meegahathenna and Katupotha Police Stations housed in rented out buildings or very old buildings, at an estimated cost of Rs.370.3 Million, was approved by the Cabinet.
