Development of Wijaya Kumaratunga Memorial Hospital at Seeduwa

- The proposal made by Hon.(Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, for implementation of the following two Projects for the Development of the Wijaya Kumaratunga Memorial Hospital at Seeduwa, was approved by the Cabinet.

* for expanding and modernizing the building consisting of the Hospital Office and the Clinics, at an estimated cost of Rs.35 Million; and

* for constructing a 06 storeyed building consisting of an Accident Ward and an Emergency Treatment Unit, Mdical and Surgical Wards, the 2nd Eye Ward, Diabetic Treatment Centre, Intensive Care Unit, Laboratory and X-ray Department, rooms for Doctors and accommodation facilities for Nurses, at an estimated cost of Rs.1,431 Million.
