Recognition of Colombo Port City Development Project (Financial City Project) as a Strategic Development Project

- The Colombo Port City Development Project (Financial City Project) has re-commenced since resolving the issues pertaining to approvals and environmental impact assessment. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Malik Samarawickrama, the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, to recognise same as a Project, under section 3(3) of the Strategic Development Project Act, No.14 of 2008 and to publish the relevant Gazette Notification, was approved by the Cabinet.
