Proposed Pension Scheme for Migrant Workers

- The Cabinet Appointed a Committee comprising of the relevant representatives in the year 2015 to propose a pension scheme for the Migrant Workers. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Foreign Employment, to implement the proposed pension scheme prepared by the Committee, to draft appropriate legislation required for the purpose and to amend the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Act, was approved by the Cabinet.
