Survey pertaining to Child activities - 2015-2016

- The Department of Census and Statistics utilizing the financial grants provided for, by the International Labour Organization (ILO) has conducted a survey on child activities during the period 2015-2016 and had prepared a data file and conducted the review activities. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to utilize the additional fund of Rs.4.35 Million for the preparation of the final Report of the Survey and to conduct a programme to make the relevant institutions and the general public aware of the information revealed at the survey, was approved by the Cabinet.
