Projects implemented during the period of 2016-2018 for the Improvement of the Information Technology Literacy

- The proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, for the two projects namely; the 'e-Grama Niladhari Project' and the 'Awareness of Internet of Things (IoT)' to educate school children, the younger generation and youth entrepreneurs and the usage of IoT devices and the creation of innovations for the Improvement of the Information Technology Literacy, introduced by the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, at an estimated cost of Rs.662 million and Rs.133 million, respectively, to be implemented during the period from 2016-2018, was approved by the Cabinet.
