National Action Plan for Children of Sri Lanka - 2016 - 2020

- The proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Chandrani Bandara, the Minister of Women and Child Affairs, to implement the 'National Action Plan for Children of Sri Lanka (2016-2020)', drafted in collaboration with the subject Ministries and Institutions pertaining to Education, Health, Justice, Labour, Mass Media and Water Supply which are directly involved with the subject matter for the purpose of ensuring the comprehensive development of all children, while providing them with an opportunity to improve their unique talents and skills, with a view to protecting the rights of all children and also creating a safe, supportive and conducive environment for their growth and development, and to establish a National Steering Committee with the representation of all stake-holders, was approved by the Cabinet.
