Repayment of Security Deposit Holders of the Golden Key Credit Card Company Ltd.

- In terms of the Cabinet decision and on the methodology approved by the Supreme Court, the General Treasury has released Rs.544.3 million, for the first tranche and Rs.3,945.6 million for the second tranche, in respect of the Golden Key Company Ltd. The proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to release a sum of Rs.4,055.1 million in stages to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka as the third and the final payment and to take expeditious measures to liquidate the Golden Key Credit Card Company Ltd. and the Group of Companies affiliated to it, and to reimburse the amount so derived to the General Treasury, was approved by the Cabinet.
