Setting up of a New Laboratory Building for Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) at Malabe

- It is vital to expand the laboratory services in order to improve the efficiency and the productivity of the services provided for by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI). Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Susil Premajayantha, the Minister of Science, Technology and Research, to purchase 03 Acres of land at the Information Technology Park at Malabe, at a cost of Rs.168 million for the establishment of its Laboratory Services Division and for a budget allocation of Rs.550 million for the construction work involved, was approved by the Cabinet.
