‘Rajarata Navodaya’ - Presidential Programme - ‘Let’s Awaken Polonnaruwa’ - District Development Projects - 2016-2020

- The proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to entrust the structural engineering design works and the construction works pertaining to four special projects, namely, the construction of the proposed Government Officers' Quarters Complex and the Administrative Building Complex within the New Town of Polonnaruwa, the reconstruction of the Railway Quarters for the development of the Kaduruwela Town and the construction of the Thamankaduwa Pradeshiya Sabha Building within the Polonnaruwa New Town, implemented on a concept of H.E. the President and identified under the District Development Programme, to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) and the Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd., (CESL) for an estimated cost of Rs.4,120 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
