Amendment of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Act, No. 28 of 1961

- The importance of bringing the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation under the regulatory purview of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka, has been identified by the Government. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Chandima Weerakkody, the Minister of Petroleum Resources Development, to amend the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Act, No. 28 of 1961, without causing any hindrance to the sales activities presently carried out by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, was approved by the Cabinet.
