Obtaining a Land for the Construction of the District Sports Complex and Indoor Stadium in Moneragala

- The proposal made by Hon. Kabir Hashim, the Minister of Public Enterprise Development, to allocate a land in extent of 10 acres from the Kumarawatta Estate, Moneragala belonging to the Land Reform Commission (LRC) and presently possessed by the Janatha Estate Development Board (JEDB), for the construction of the proposed District Sports Complex and Indoor Stadium in Moneragala, to provide a fine arena to promote the health of people in Moneragala District and to bestow the country with the sports skills of future generations, was approved by the Cabinet.
