Procurement of Antibiotics necessary for the Government Hospitals

- The proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to award the tenders for the purchase of 2,400,000 vials of Co-Amoxiclav Injection 1000/200 mg, which is widely used as an antibiotic drug, and 500,000 Vials of Meropenem Injection 1gm, which is used as an antibiotic for infections, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
