Development of Infrastructure Facilities of the State Universities and the Higher Educational Institutions

- The Government has accorded a high priority to fulfilling the requirements of students who are presently engaged in studies, and students who are to be enrolled for the Technology Degree and other Degree Courses, by enhancing the existing space and facilities at State Universities. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to implement development projects for improving infrastructure facilities in the Universities of Colombo, Sri Jayawardenepura, Ruhuna, Sabaragamuwa, Peradeniya, Wayamba, Buddhist and Pali and the Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurveda Institute, was approved by the Cabinet.
