Cooperation Agreement to be entered into between Sri Lanka and Switzerland on Migration Matters

- The proposal made by Hon. S.B. Navinne, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs, to sign the Cooperation Agreement to be entered into between the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and the Swiss Federal Council, on migration matters, in order to prevent irregular migration and related criminal activities, enhance cooperation between the two countries, effectively protect the rights of migrants and enable persons who illegally remain in the other State to return to their own country in a secure and dignified manner, and take necessary steps for the implementation of the said Agreement, was approved by the Cabinet.
