Implementation of Green Power Development and Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Programme - Tranche 2

- The proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to obtain funds from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), for the implementation of Tranche 2 of the Green Power Development and Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Programme, comprising of the components of electricity transmission infrastructure enhancement, efficiency improvement of the medium-voltage network and expansion of demand-based power management for energy efficiency through development of a smart grid and metering pilot sub-project, was approved by the Cabinet.
