Redevelopment of the Bogambara Prison Precinct

- The proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, to entrust the redevelopment of the precincts of the Bogambara Prison of about 5ha in Kandy city, which has become vacant due to the said Prison being relocated in Pallekele area, as a tourist centre, in a manner that safeguards its historic value, to an internationally reputed institution which possesses expertise in designing such work, was approved by the Cabinet.
