Implementation of Projects with the objective of dispersing the benefits of the digital technology to every citizen of the country

- With the objective of dispersing the benefits of digital technology to every citizen in the country, a number of development projects that should be implemented within the three year period from 2016 to 2018, have been identified by the Information and CommunicationTechnology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, for the implementation of 40 projects under the programmes of 'National Digitization' and 'Upgrading Nenasala', utilizing the budgetary provisions approved for the year 2016, was approved by the Cabinet.
