13. National Anti-Corruption Summit scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka

- The Cabinet has already granted approval to conduct a National Anti-Corruption Summit in Sri Lanka, with the objectives of educating politicians, senior officials in public and private sectors, other relevant parties and the general public for the establishment of a corruption free society and creating a dialogue in society on the eradication of bribery and corruption. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development, to hold a 'National Summit on Anti-Corruption' in Colombo, on the 09th of December, 2016, with the participation of about 700 local and foreign representatives, to coincide with the International Anti-Corruption Day, was approved by the Cabinet.
