Acquisition of Land for the Construction of the Proposed Economic Centre in Vavuniya

- A sum of Rs.200 million has been allocated through the Budget Proposals - 2016, for the construction of a Dedicated Economic Centre in the vicinity of Vavuniya Town. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. P. Harison, the Minister of Rural Economy, to acquire for the said Ministry, a block of land in extent of 2.5 Acres situated in the Madauwythakulam village in the Munrumurippu Grama Niladhari Division, selected with the consent of the Co-Chairmen of the District Coordinating Committee of Vavuniya, for the construction of the said Dedicated Economic Centre, was approved by the Cabinet.
