Projects implemented by the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure for the improvement of the Information Technology Literacy

- The proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, to implement the two (02) projects namely the 'School Computer Labs Project' carried out with a view to improving the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and literacy in the identified schools across the country coming under the purview of the Provincial Councils and the 'District IT Resources Centres Project' carried out with the main objective of coordinating with the district administration on issues related to IT resources management in each district, utilizing the budgetary provision of Rs.250 million and Rs.42 million set apart from the Budget 2016, respectively, was approved by the Cabinet.
