Vesting of Lands required for the Development of the Angunakolapelassa Town

- The Urban Development Authority (UDA) has designed to develop the Angunukolapelassa Town which is located in a place that links towns in the Hambantota District with each other, under a formal development plan. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to vest a block of land in extent of 9A-2R-10P belonging to the Mahaweli Development Authority, situated in the Angunukolapelassa town, with the UDA, required for the development projects such as the construction of proposed circuit bungalows, bank buildings, commercial complex, buildings for government institutions, public car park and the development of the town centre and the bus stand, was approved by the Cabinet.
