Construction of Section 4 of the Central Expressway from Kurunegala to Dambulla (60 km)

- The Cabinet has already granted its approval to rehabilitate 150 km of the existing roads and to construct 100 km of new roads, under the 'Rajarata Navodaya' Development Programme. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to implement the proposed project of constructing Section 4 of the Central Expressway, 60 km in length, commencing from Kurunegala and running up to Dambulla, under the 'Rajarata Navodaya' Development Programme, was approved by the Cabinet.
