Transferring of Government Pilgrims Rest Building constructed under the Matale Aluvihara Sacred Site Planning Scheme to the Matale Aluvihara Temple

- With a view to providing lodging facilities for the pilgrims who visit the Matale area, the responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the Matale Pilgrims' Rest Building constructed by the Government under the Matale Aluvihara Sacred Site Planning Scheme had been vested with the Aluvihara Rajamaha Vihara for a period of 05 years from the year 2009. Accordingly, with a view to providing facilities for the pilgrims who visit the said Viharaya, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to vest the responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the said Pilgrims' Rest Building with the Aluvihara Rajamaha Vihara, for a further period of 05 years, was approved by the Cabinet.
