Allocation of funds for the completion of partially completed projects

- The proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to obtain provision of Rs.516.8 million required to complete the projects being implemented by the Urban Development Authority (UDA), which are currently at a standstill, such as the construction of Battaramulla- Polduwa By-Pass Road, improvement of the drainage system in the Imaduwa Town, construction of Trade Complexes of Tangalle and Angunukolapelessa, Middeniya Town Development programme; and the projects for the construction of Lunugamvehera and Walasmulla Bus Stands implemented by the District Secretariat Hambantota and to complete the balance work of such projects through the original contractors themselves, with a view to providing benefits to the people of the areas concerned, was approved by the Cabinet.
