Establishment of Human Resource Services Agency (HRSA)

- The approval of the Cabinet has already been granted for the incorporation of the Human Resource Services Agency under the Companies Act, No. 07 of 2007, in accordance with the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister, for the establishment of the HRSA, with a view to obtaining the services of the professionals to the Government, for the formulation of national policies and efficient implementation of the development programmes. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Prime Minister, Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to obtain a grant of Rs. 5 million from the Consolidated Fund to meet the initial capital requirement of the said Agency and to seek covering approval for obtaining the assistance of a Private Legal Firm, for the activities related to the incorporation of such Agency, was approved by the Cabinet.
