Obtaining Provisions for the Payment of Salaries before Restructuring the Janatha Estate Development Board, the Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation and the Elkaduwa Plantations Limited

- The proposal made by Hon. Kabir Hashim, the Minister of Public Enterprise Development, to obtain provisions from the General Treasury, for the payment of salaries for the employees of the Janatha Estate Development Board, the Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation and the Elkaduwa Plantations Limited, which are being planned to be restructured, since they have become a burden to the Government due to loss-making, for the forthcoming period of this year, was approved by the Cabinet.
