Establishment of an Incubator and Technology Transfer Centre at Makandura (West) Industrial Estate

- An Incubator and a Technology Transfer Centre is scheduled to be established at Makandura (West) Industrial Estate, as a joint project of the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka and the National Enterprise Development Authority. This would provide the necessary basic facilities and business ideas for new inventors to create productions. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, to establish an Incubator and a Technology Transfer Centre at Makandura (West) Industrial Estate, at an estimated cost of Rs.46.5 million, and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka and the National Enterprise Development Authority, for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
