Construction of Traditional Indigenous Medical Research Hospital and Herbal Garden

- At present, a conspicuous tendency in Sri Lankans to move towards the Ayurvedic and Indigenous medical treatments can be seen / witnessed. Since the traditional indigenous medical system is a precious medical system to be transferred to the present as well as future generations, measures are being taken by the Government to take necessary action for its conservation and development. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to construct a traditional indigenous medical research hospital and a herbal garden, in associated with the 'Wedagama' model village in the Dompe Divisional Secretariat Division, was approved by the Cabinet.
