'E-Motoring Project' - Department of Motor Traffic

- The above project is expected to be implemented under three (03) components, namely the preparation of an Electronic Documentation Management System for the Department of Motor Traffic, development of the existing Vehicle Registration System and its database and the improvement of communication network. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to implement this 'E-Motoring Project' as a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) Project, as per the recommendation of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Management, was approved by the Cabinet.
