Clearance of the debris of houses and garbage accumulated at Salawa area in Kosgama due to the emergency disaster situation

- The disposal of garbage accumulated in certain areas of the Western Province due to the sudden disaster of floods that occurred in May 2016, has been implemented successfully and the proposal made by Hon. Faiszer Musthapha, the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, to employ around 20 tippers for a period of one (01) week, as per the request made by the Sri Lanka Army, utilizing the balance amount of funds allocated for the disposal of garbage accumulated due to floods, to clear the debris of the damaged houses and garbage, accumulated due to the sudden disaster which occurred at Salawa area in Kosgama recently, was approved by the Cabinet.
