Central Expressway Project – obtaining consultancy services for the construction of Section 2 from Meerigama to Kurunegala (39.91km) with a link from Meerigama to Ambepussa (9.3 km)

- A four lane Expressway with a length of 39.91 km from Meerigama to Kurunegala via Pothuhera will be constructed under Section 2 of the Central Expressway Project and a link road with 2 lanes in a length of 9.3 km from the Meerigama Interchange to Ambepussa will also be constructed. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to initiate the procurement work required for selecting an appropriate Consultancy Company to provide the consultancy services for the supervision of these construction, was approved by the Cabinet.
