Obtaining Technical Assistance for the Implementation of Weliwita Water Supply Project

- The proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply, to obtain technical assistance of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group for the construction of the Weliwita Water Supply Project, which is the first ever water supply project constructed in Sri Lanka under the Public - Private Partnership Basis, and to appoint a Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC) and a Project Committee for the implementation of the project, was approved by the Cabinet.
