'Project on Construction of Defence Headquarters Complex at Akuregoda' – (Presenting the Report of the Committee appointed to inquire into the Consultancy Firms and related Payments

- The Officials' Committee appointed to investigate into the matter concerning the consultancy firms and the related payments of the Defence Headquarters at Akuregoda, has observed that the Cabinet has not been informed of the accurate facts regarding the selection of consultancy firms and making relevant payments to such firms. Accordingly, as per the recommendation made by the said Committee, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, not to obtain the services of the private firm which provided consultancy services for the construction of the project hereafter and to review the consultancy fee made to the said firm, was approved by the Cabinet.
