Awarding contracts for Eighteen (18) Civil Work Contract Packages in the Provinces of North Central and the North Western and the Kalutara District

- The Asian Development Bank funded Integrated Road Investment Programme is implemented with a view to improving the access routes between rural areas and socio-economic centres. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to award the 18 contract packages relevant to the civil work of 18 road sections scheduled to be implemented for the rehabilitation and improvement of rural roads so as to cover all the Districts of North Central and the North Western Provinces and also the Kalutara District, under this programme, as per the recommendation made by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
