Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey on Diplomatic Training, Exchange of Information and Documentation

- The objective of entering into the above agreement is to strengthen and consolidate the close and friendly relations between Sri Lanka and Turkey, through the development of mutually beneficial cooperation on diplomatic training, the exchange of information and documentation on international law and other academic disciplines that are relevant to the practice of diplomacy and international relations, in the spheres of political, economic, cultural or otherwise. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to enter into the above Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Turkey, during the forthcoming visit of Hon. Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey to Sri Lanka in June 2016, pertaining to diplomatic training and exchange of information and documentation, was approved by the Cabinet.
