Matara Stage IV Water Supply Project

- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Management, having considered the urgent need and the importance of implementing the Matara Stage IV Water Supply Project, has recommended to implement the project, under the loan assistance of National Development Bank, with a view to providing safe drinking water to the people living in 231 Grama Niladhari Divisions of Matara and suburbs. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply, to award the contract for the implementation of the project, as per the recommendation made by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
