Revision of Salaries of the Members of the Three Armed Forces

- The Public Administration Circular No.03/2016 dated 2016-02-25 was issued in accordance with the decision taken by the Government to add the special allowances and the interim allowance of Rs.10,000/- granted for public servants in addition to their basic salaries, in stages. Similarly, the Circular instructions pertaining to the revision of salaries of the officers in the State Corporations, Statutory Boards and the Government owned Companies have already been issued concurrently. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to issue Circular instructions, for the revision of the salaries of the members of the Three Armed Forces, in concurrence with the above salary revision, made in accordance with the recommendations of the National Salaries and Cadre Commission, was approved by the Cabinet.
