Guidelines to be followed by the electronic or the print media during a time of a Referendum or Elections

- The proposal made by Hon. Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremasinghe, to present the Gazette (Extraordinary) Notification, No.1955/19 dated 2016-02-26 containing the guidelines to be followed/observed by the electronic and the print media and activists during a time of a referendum or elections, issued by the Elections Commission, as per Article 104 B.(5) of the Constitution, as amended by the Nineteenth Amendment, in order to ensure the conduct of a free and fair referendum or an election, in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
