Conversion of the building at No.51 Katukurunda Training School of the Special Task Force into a 03 storey building

- Sri Lanka Police Special Task Force Training School at Katukurunda, conducts training courses of Basic Paramilitary Training, Training on VIP security, Training on Riots and Commotions control, Training on bomb disposal and skill enhancement as well as training of security personnel of local and foreign groups. Therefore, the Cabinet of Ministers, according to a proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development, decided to remove the old residential buildings in the Training School which are about 75 years old and to construct a three storey building which could provide residential facilities for 300 personnel, at a time, at an estimated cost of Rs.88.2 million and to allocate the provisions required for the purpose in the medium term budgetary framework of 2017-2019.
