Construction of a new 03 storey building to enhance the administration, accommodation and vehicle parking facilities at the Special Task Force (STF) Headquarters

- A considerable number of officers of the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Police Special Task Force are engaged in routine security operations for protection of law and order, inclusive of ensuring the security of Very Important Personnel (VIP), controlling unlawful activities like riots and underworld activities. Therefore, the Cabinet of Ministers, according to a proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development, decided to construct a new 03 storey building to enhance the administration, accommodation and vehicle parking facilities at the Special Task Force (STF) Headquarters, at a cost of Rs.58.6 million and to allocate the provisions required for the purpose in the medium term budgetary framework of 2017-2019.
