Rehabilitation of B 157 (East) Road from the Southern Expressway to Madurugoda

- The Government of Sri Lanka has received a loan of US$ 75 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as the cost of Southern Road Connectivity Project for improving the capacity of National Highways linking the Southern Expressway. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to award the contract for the improvement and rehabilitation of the road section of 10 km in length on B 157 (East) Road from Southern Expressway to Madurugoda including the five (05) years performance based maintenance, to the bidder recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
