Concessionary Railway fares for Handicapped War Heroes holding 'Virusara' Privilege Cards

- 'Virusara' Privilege Card, which has been introduced as a part of the Government programme of providing special concessions to the handicapped war heroes, provides them and also the members of their families, with the opportunity of having such privileges when obtaining the services from the Government and private institutions using the 'Virusara' Privilege Card. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to provide facilities to handicapped war heroes, holding the 'Virusara' privilege card for train travel, at a concessionary rate of not more than 50% of the normal fare, was approved by the Cabinet.
