Purchasing a Land for the Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media

- The proposal made by Hon. Gayantha Karunathilaka, the Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media, to purchase a plot of land of 40 perches, located at the new Parliament Road, Battaramulla at a cost of Rs.31.5 million, from the Urban Development Authority, since it is beneficial to construct a Government owned building, to house the Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media, which is presently functioning in a private building at Pelawatta, Battaramulla on a monthly rental of Rs.630,000/-, as per the recommendations of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Management, was approved by the Cabinet.
